wedding photography near me
Holly + Richard // 22nd June 2019
Nestled away in beautiful Andalucía, is Castillo de la Duquesa - an 18th century Fortress standing proudly on the coast! Such a beautiful place for a wedding!
When Tracy and Andy told me they were getting married here I’ll be honest I did squeal a little bit (…ok maybe a lot!) Tracy and Andy are two of the loveliest people I have ever met and I am super lucky to be able to call them my friends! To spend the day with them surrounded by their family and friends, with my boys, in such an idyllic location was an absolute honour!
The day was phenomenal from the calmness of the morning preparations right through to the amazing Flamenco dancers throwing down some incredible moves on the beach in the evening! Tracy & Andy provided beach games for the children which went down a treat and served delicious tapas for dinner.
With sand between our toes and hearts full of love and laughter, this wedding really was spectacular!
The hugest congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Dean! I wish you a future full of happiness together!
….. Now if we can just rewind it all please I’d like to do it again!!
If you’d like to find out about my availability for your wedding, please contact me I would absolutely love to hear your plans!

The above photo was taken at the gorgeous Abbeywood Estate in Cheshire. Given that Abbeywood is on Chester Road (the same road I live on!) I’m surprised that this was my first time there. I do love to travel so I shoot weddings just about anywhere - something I amazingly lucky to do and extremely grateful for. But shooting a wedding on the same street as me…. well that’s just awesome!
Mandy and Paul married at Abbeywood on Sunday 10th March and the image above was during their first dance as husband and wife. I love getting creative at weddings, the bokeh balls (circles) were just tiny fairy lights held up close to my camera lens. I had a Godox AD200 on a light stand to the left of me which lit up the bride and groom and also their guests behind them. When I shoot an image, I am always looking for moment, light and composition. I love seeing the guests looking on in the background, I really like how the fairy lights draw the viewers eye into the couple and I love the richness of colour and pop of light from the left which adds depth to the scene.
If you’re planning a wedding at Abbeywood Estate and would like to talk about documentary wedding photography, please get in touch because I would love to hear all your plans!
You’ve booked me! Yay! This is going to be one amazing journey - I can’t wait!
So what’s next?
I love meeting up with my couples - I think it’s important that we get to know each other as we’ll be spending a lot of time together on your wedding day! Quite often I am told at weddings by guests that they think I’m friends with the couple which is amazing really. When I hear this I know that I’ve done my job well. To come away from a wedding and your guests question whether you had a photographer there at all is one of the best compliments a candid wedding photographer can get. My aim is to be unseen but everywhere!
Having said that about meeting up, around half of my couples don’t meet me until the day of the wedding and that is absolutely and equally fine too, so if you can’t meet up beforehand, or would rather not that’s no problem. I’m really friendly and approachable and we’ll feel like old friends in no time.
There may be some time (maybe even years!) between booking me and your wedding day so please do stay in touch - I absolutely love to hear how all the wedding plans are coming along! I’m also able to help with supplier reccommendations - florists, DJ’s, bands, videographers, love letters, gin trucks, prosecco vans, Ceilidh bands etc…. because I am super lucky to have worked with some of the absolute best in the business!
Six weeks before your wedding
Your remaining balance is due which can be paid by bank transfer. I’ll send over an email reminder about 8 weeks before the big day and around this time I’ll also ask you to complete a final wedding details form too. This will give me all the important details, locations and final timings for your day and your group shots too. All of this is sent over electronically as I’m a huge believer of saving paper and looking after our beautiful planet.
Two weeks before your wedding
I’ll be back in touch to say hello and check if anything has changed. Time seems to speed up at this point - before you know it you will be walking down the aisle :)
The day before your wedding
I’ll be busy preparing all my equipment. My batteries (and spares) will be charged, my cameras and lenses (and spares) will be cleaned until they sparkle, my SD cards (and spares) will be formatted and everything-but-the-kitchen-sink will be packed up ready to go! At this point I am SO excited for the day ahead and I can’t wait to see you and your guests and how your amazing day will unfold!
