Do you remember the last wedding you went to? Maybe you were a bridesmaid, an usher or perhaps part of the bridal party. How do you remember that day? Was it relaxed? Fun? Enjoyable? Hello I'm Lou and I am the founder/photographer at Louise Jacob Photography. I'm a wedding photographer in Cheshire and I've been capturing authenticity at weddings for the past 4 years. I am excited by documenting weddings without any direction from myself as your photographer. I am passionate about delivering images that are un orchestrated and real. My style is unposed candid documentary, you may also know my style as wedding photojournalism or reportage. My belief, is that without this realness portrayed in your images, do your photographs have meaning? And if you don't have any meaning in your pictures then what are you left with?Read More
I can't believe it's been almost a week since we were up in the Yorkshire Dales celebrating the wedding of Lizzie & Billy at the lovely Red Lion & Manor House in Burnsall. I love this venue, it's my second time here and everyone is always so welcoming! We had such a great day despite the crazy weather and it was great to work with Sam Gately Hair again too!Read More
You may remember back in December, I spent the day with a family in Crewe for a day in the life session. At the time of their day in the life session Jen was 8 months pregnant with baby number 5 and on 15th January this year the very gorgeous new addition Wilf arrived safely into the world and I was asked back to tell this new chapter of their life in authentic documentary pictures!
Here are some highlights from the morning that I think perfectly sums up the love this family all has for each other! The pictures in this gallery are way more than just pictures. There are so many genuine moments in them and that is the very reason I love being a documentary photographer. I know that when any of the Astbury children look back on these in 15-20 years time, they will have so much meaning to them. They are not just another set of perfectly posed shots against a studio background. They are full of life and honesty. They are real and that is what I love most about what I do. The authenticity of it all!
If you are thinking about booking an authentic family documentary session, or if you would like to find out more then please contact me - I would love to tell this chapter of your story!
