FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO WE BOOK? Your completed booking form together with a £500 booking fee is all that's required to book me for your date.
WHEN IS OUR BALANCE DUE? 6 weeks before your wedding.
CAN YOU SAVE OUR DATE FOR US? Sorry dates can't be reserved without the booking fee.
HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL? I'm based in Cheshire but I've photographed weddings all over the UK and overseas too. If you are planning a destination wedding get in touch!
ARE YOU INSURED? Yes. I have public liability and professional indemnity insurances and I can provide copies of these if required.
DO YOU DO GROUPS PHOTOS AS WELL AS CANDIDS? YES! 90% of the day will be candid & un-posed style but I will work with you to set aside enough time in your day for up to a maximum of 8 groups which is around 15-30 minutes depending on group size. Most of my couples choose four or five or why not break tradition and have none.
CAN FRIENDS AND FAMILY BUY PHOTOGRAPHS? Yes absolutely. You'll get all your images in your own online gallery so you can share with family and friends and they can place an order for any digital images they would like.
HOW MANY PICTURES WILL WE RECEIVE? It really depends on how much is going on during the day but I typically deliver around 500 images for a full day wedding.
WILL YOU DO A VENUE VISIT? I don't do venue visits because weather and light can be so changeable and completely different from one day to the next. I prefer approaching a new venue with a fresh pair of eyes on the day because it lets me be more creative.
DO YOU USE FLASH? Sometimes, mainly during the evening reception and definitely during the dancing. I prefer the look of natural light and shadows during the day and it's less obtrusive.
WILL YOU NEED A MEAL? It's lovely to be asked but it's not essential, just let me know if not and I'll bring food with me.
HOW LONG UNTIL WE RECEIVE OUR PICTURES? If you'd like a highlights blog, I'll post this on my website within 1 week of your wedding and a link to your gallery within 3-6 weeks (6-8 weeks during peak season) of your wedding.
WHAT IS A PRE-WEDDING SHOOT? It's a great opportunity to meet up and have a bit of fun. As with my weddings, these are really relaxed. Plus you'll get to see how I work and you'll get some great pictures out of it but it's up to you if you'd like one. A Pre-Wedding Shoot lasts 1 hour and costs £200.
CAN WE HAVE A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER? Yes of course. If you have a large number of guests (150+) I would advise a second photographer. My seconds are all professional wedding photographers too and I only use photographers with the same documentary approach and who I know and trust. A second photographer costs £300.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE? I use Sony Mirrorless cameras and fixed length prime lenses which are fantastic in low light. It means I won't be as obtrusive as I can work lots without flash. As I use two cameras all day long I always have a back-up on me. I work completely silently (my shutter is 100% silent) so at key moments during your day you won't hear a thing.
WE ARE A BIT NERVOUS ABOUT HAVING OUR PICTURE TAKEN.. HELP?! A pre-wedding shoot is perfect if you don't like having your picture taken. we'll get to know each other a bit better and you'll get some great images out of it. Plus it's loads of fun!!
WE'RE PLANNING A DESTINATION WEDDING, DO YOU WORK OUTSIDE THE UK? Absolutely yes I do! European weddings are my UK fee plus £500 and Worldwide weddings are my UK fee plus £1000.
