Hello it’s Me!

I’m not somebody who enjoys talking about myself - I’d much rather be taking photos! That said, I do need to tell you a little about the girl behind the camera who will no doubt be spending more time with you on your wedding day than anyone else!

Born in1980 (I’ll let you do the maths) in rural Cheshire, I grew up in a little semi-detached with my mum, dad, brother and springer spaniel! I spent the majority of my childhood riding horses and I was always down at the yard - even on Christmas Day!

I bought my first camera around 1996 - a Canon EOS 1000 film camera and my passion for photography began right there… I spent hours and hours photographing anything that moved and everything that didn’t!

The Big Smoke

At the age of 18 (so young!) I began working in Film & Television, which involved me moving down to London, much to the worry of my parents (although this never showed - they were so supportive!)

This was an incredibly fun-filled and fast-paced time in my life, working as a Freelance TV Camera Assistant in live TV. Rubbing shoulders with the stars on far too many shows to name but along the lines of Pop Idol, X Factor, Big Brother, Saturday Night Takeaway, Loose Women and you’re on the right track!

Pop Idol Wrap Party 2003

It was amazing… far from glamourous though and bloody hard work! TV was where I met my Husband…

In 2004 I met Grant (a cameraman) while working on a live morning BBC TV show called “City Hospital”. We bought a house in Hertfordshire, he proposed in Paris (very romantic!) and we got married at a country house in Hertfordshire in 2007 on the wettest day of the year!

I left TV behind and we moved back up north to Cheshire when in 2011 we welcomed Jacob into our family. We now live in a gorgeous little village with our nutty Springer Spaniel - Ace!

Grant’s still a cameraman, globetrotting and working on various sporting events around the world and I photographed my first wedding in 2015 after taking some years off (is it really off though?!) to be a stay-at-home-mum!

Interests

I love Musical Theatre! Les Mis is my absolute favourite, but also Back to the Future and Six are up there too! I think Back to The Future is one of the most visually incredible productions I’ve ever seen! I love music - anything by the Script, Westlife, Bon Jovi, Muse or Foo Fighters!

TV wise I don’t really watch it but I do love Netflix and I adore Breaking Bad! I’ve also watched aproximately 98127 episoes of Greys Anatomy! I love reading when I have time and I’m currently halfway through ‘The Hearts Invisible Furies’ by John Boyne.
